What is Altarflow?
Altarflow is church finance software for small and mid-sized churches. It keeps online gifts, Zelle, cash and checks, expenses, receipts and reports in one ledger, with a giver or a fund on every dollar. An AI agent drafts the matches and a person approves them. Seed, the free plan, includes online giving, donors and year-end statements, in English and Spanish.
Do our givers have to stop using Zelle, cash or checks?
No. Record cash and checks by hand, next to online gifts. On Grow or Bloom, connect your bank and the agent matches each Zelle deposit to a giver and a fund for you to approve. Over time, online giving saves you the most work, because those gifts arrive already matched.
Is Seed really free?
Yes, and it stays free. Seed has no monthly fee and needs no credit card. It includes one seat, up to 100 donors, online giving and a giving page, the Web Portal, year-end statements, and the Donations and Payouts reports. Card gifts cost 3.9% + $0.30 and bank gifts cost 0.8%, capped at $5. Givers can choose to cover the fee.
Does Altarflow replace QuickBooks?
That’s where we’re headed. Altarflow doesn’t connect to QuickBooks. Gifts, expenses, receipts and reports already live in one Altarflow ledger, each gift tied to a giver. Books adds the chart of accounts and general ledger to replace QuickBooks. It’s in early access, and bank reconciliation comes next.
How long does setup take?
One sitting. Create your church, set up your funds, connect your payout account and share your giving page. On Bloom, we migrate up to three years of your records for you, which takes up to two weeks.
What happens if we change plans or stop paying?
Your records stay, and gifts keep coming in. A gift is never refused. Pages your plan doesn’t include lock until you upgrade again. Change plans or cancel anytime in Billing.
Does it work in Spanish?
Yes. The app, the giving page and the year-end statements work in English and Spanish, and each giver gets their statement in their own language.
