Before and after
What international giving takes off your plate.
| The old way | With Altarflow |
|---|---|
| 01The old way: Givers abroad stuck with wires, or not giving at all | With Altarflow: They give from your page, in their own currency |
| 02The old way: Working out the exchange rate before you can book a gift | With Altarflow: Every gift settles in US dollars and keeps the amount they paid |
| 03The old way: Not knowing which gifts came from outside the country | With Altarflow: Every gift shows its country of origin |
| 04The old way: A thank-you note in a language they don’t read | With Altarflow: Givers get a thank-you email in English or Spanish |

In Altarflow
Booked in dollars. Traced to its country.
Each gift settles in US dollars and counts toward fund and campaign totals at that amount. The record keeps the country and the amount the giver paid, and exports include both.
Thank-you email
A thank-you in their language.
Givers get a thank-you email in English or Spanish right away. It shows the amount in the currency they paid and notes that it isn’t a tax document.
Also included
Gifts to any fund or active campaign, the original amount and currency in CSV exports, fund and campaign totals in US dollars, and the twelve most common currencies at the top of the list.

What is Altarflow international giving?
Altarflow international giving lets people outside the US give to a US church in their own currency, choosing from 87 currencies. The church receives US dollars in its bank, and each gift record keeps the giver's country and the original amount. International gifts are one-time, and givers get a thank-you email in English or Spanish.
What does the church receive?
US dollars, paid out to your bank like every other gift. Each record keeps the amount and currency the giver paid.
Can givers abroad give every month?
Not yet. Gifts from the international page are one-time. Recurring gifts work on your regular giving page with a card.
Is the thank-you email a tax receipt?
No. It thanks the giver and shows what they gave in their currency. It notes that tax rules vary by country.
Who pays the processing fee?
It comes out of the gift before it reaches your bank. Cards from outside the US cost more to process, and givers can’t cover the fee on this page.
